THE FIRST REYMONT AWARD

1987 Bill honored by the Grosse Pointe Historical Society for his design and sculpture of the makers used throughout the city.

1988 St. Joseph Home acknowledged Bill’s volunteer work, time, talent, love and inspi-ration with a Certificate of Appreciation.

1992 The Polish Heritage Merit Award was given in recognition of his unselfish contributions of time and leadership for the good of the society and the Grand Rapids community.

 2002 Michigan State University awarded Bill with a Certificate of Appreciation for his knowledge, skills, time, and generosity to the Festival of Michigan Folk-life.

2005 The Hamtramck Library and the Hamtramck Citizen jointly presented Bill with a letter of Thanks for his donation of the Index to his collection at the Library of Michigan and the Archives of Michigan.

2006 The Library of Michigan honored Bill with their Genealogy Achievement Award for donating his collection to the Library.

2008 Bill is the first recipient of PGSM’s Reymont Award in acknowledgement of The J. William Gorski Genealogical and Historical Collection.

Bill belongs to The Polish Genealogical Society of Michigan, Polish Genealogical Society of America, Western Michigan Genealogical Society, WSDPAHS, Polish Heritage Society, St. Clair County Genealogical Society, Irish Genealogical Society, Huron County Genealogical Society, and Friends of Polish Art.
